Phil Brewer, a fun-loving and jovial cartoonist, artist, and pianist–is a fifth-generation Christian minister, and a clinically-trained California-licensed family therapist with twenty-five years of private practice experience. For over twenty years he has also directed EMMAUS, a nondenominational Employee Assistance Program for clergy, ministerial staff, missionaries, and parachurch leaders.
Phil's effective listening and counsel has touched many lives allowing them to experience the release, reprieve, and relief of God's healing love.
His life coaching with Christian leaders has taken him to many parts of the U.S.A., Canada, Colombia, South America, the United Kingdom, and Europe.
Working also for three years as a clinician in an acute psychiatric facility, and later as a hearing officer in six psychiatric hospitals holding certification hearings, sharpened Phil's clinical skills and deepened his compassion and empathy for (often marginalized by society) suffering people.
When asked about his life coaching approach, he replies, "Friendly, fair, firm, and factual. I'm existential as to choice and responsibility–and spiritual regarding ultimate concerns, characterological issues, Judeo-Christian principles and world-view. I'm a professional–who loves Jesus, prays, and listens to folks with both head and heart."
I sincerely hope you will give yourself a couple of hours to call me and tell me about yourself, your life goals–what might be blocking or challenging you–and what you want your lifecoaching experience to do for you. Let's get acquainted! —Phil Brewer
