Currently, Phil Brewer contracts with Christian ministries to sponsor counseling of their clergy and missionaries On-line (via Skype.com). Many Christian leaders (USA & Abroad) have found this On-line ("talking head") Life Coaching to provide a quite satisfactory "tele-coaching" service – with little loss of rapport – and maximum convenience and economy. Sponsorees usually contract on Skype for a minimum of two-hour sessions weekly – or as needed. All On-line and in-person Life Coaching is confidential and outside of Managed Care. When the sponsoring organization requests a progress report, it is the responsibility of the client to arrange this with his confidential supervisor and sign a Release of Information to the supervisor – prior to a report being sent to the supervisor.
EAP Clientele over the years has included Evangelical, Liturgical-Mainline, Pentecostal-Charismatic, Independent, and recently, "Emergent." His calling is to encourage quality control in effective spiritual leadership, edify the Koinonia, and bless the community of the redeemed.
Again, this is done predominantly via On-line tele-coaching – usually via Skype.com – with sponsored and/or private pay clergy and executive clients. Online Life Coaching is arranged predominantly on Mondays and Tuesdays – from January 15 through November 15.
Typically included and faced in our Life Coaching interventions are leadership issues (strengths, weaknesses, use of power), mental health and personality issues, referrals for chemical dependency and substance abuse treatment plans, sexual addiction treatment plans, moral failure and career-threatening clergy misconduct.
These and what might be described as issues of spiritual, and relational health – are topics addressed in On-line "cyber-coaching", Web (or in-person) seminars, and in-depth Marathon Day intensives.
